Guided Visualisation JourneysGuided visualisations allow you to access your inner wisdom and strength. They are similar to classic meditations, but you don't aim to 'empty' your brain, but meditate with an intention in mind. We use breathing exercises and the soft beat of the drum to help you switch off your busy left brain for a while. Then we guide you on a 'journey' to those parts of reality that the analytical mind can't reach. There you can find new insights, grounding, self-healing power, and positive energy to reach your goals.
The method is inspired by the heritage and teachings of first nation cultures, and still in use all over the world. It is a practice that anyone can enjoy and find valuable, regardless of their religious or spiritual belief. Modern research has shown that the drum beat and meditation techniques slow our brain waves down, and bring us into the realm of alpha and theta waves, were we can release stress, find inspiration and re-balance our emotions. |
Live sessions in Hanwell, West London
Remote sessions per Zoom. |
What happens in a session?I explain the process, and we have a chat to focus your journey intention. This can be learning more about a deep life question, healing a past experience, exploring your purpose in life or stepping into your full potential. Or it can be something practical; such as finding strength when moving abroad or becoming a parent.
In the initial sessions, clients often work on gathering their inner resources and bringing them into balance. For example, they journey to their chakras, explore their Tree of Life, or connect to their 'power animal'. My role is to guide you on your journey like a Sherpa in the mountains. If you feel a bit stuck, I may remind you to ask certain questions or express your feelings. For a great part of your visualisation journey, my role will be silent witnessing. At the end of the session, we will debrief and explore how you can make the best use of what you experienced, and apply it to your life. Teachings often come as metaphors, and we will spend some time exploring these. |

What did the journey teach me?
I noticed that I had been reluctant to believe in myself before this meditation. Yes, I wanted to put my name ‘out there’, but I was not self-confident enough to really stand out from the crowd and believe in the quality of my offerings. Woodpecker taught me that I had to be more self-confident and really put more of myself into this business. This was a real boost for me. I keep imagining the neon sign and I still see it rotating and shining up there - a good reminder that I ought to believe in myself.
