Nordic Walking - Gentle does it...
If you feel unfit, have health problems, struggle with your plus-size or recover from an injury - you are very welcome in our group!
We offer both our Foundation Course and our Group walks in a 'gentle' format. These courses/walks are a bit slower or shorter, and they start close to a bus stop. You can come on our Gentle and Mini walks without having done a course. But we recommend that you take the Foundation course after a few walks. Here is why: Nordic walking is a full body workout. As such, it is very different from trekking or regular walking. To get the full benefits, you need a good technique. It is easy to build up bad habits, which may damage your health (e.g. bent wrists or bad posture can lead to joint pain). |
Foundation Course: Gentle StartIn this course, you will create a solid, good foundation for your Nordic Walking technique, so that you can walk in a safe manner (without damaging your body through bad technique) and get your best fitness/health results out of each walk. We focus on step 1-5 of the INWA teaching method, and have a short look at step 6-10 as well.

Costs: £35 (pole hire included) Gentle Start: Our Foundation course in two sessions (One hour each)
Private lessons: If you cannot make it to a course, we can teach you the content in two private lessons (one hour each). Total private-lesson Foundation course: £80 (pole hire included). |
