Tai Chi has many benefits: you can get in the flow; relax; focus; improve your memory; increase your fitness and agility; balance your mind, body and emotions; and find new friends.
It is brilliant, and in our school, you find a friendly environment to learn it; there is no competition, and the students are kind to each other and like a good laugh. We teach in a way that everybody can learn it; taking the long forms apart and arranging the moves in short sequences, so that they can be practiced more easily. You do not have to remember all the moves to get health benefits. Practicing just a few moves will make a big difference for your health, balance, and stress release. You will also learn about the energy applications of Tai Chi - how you can use Tai Chi principles in your everyday life: That means, we explore the 'teaching' of each move for health, balance, mediation, and self-defence. |

Beginners coursesThere are several ways to get started with Tai Chi Chuan: We run short introduction courses three times a year, and you can also join i-between courses if you don't like to wait.

Ongoing classesMixed Ability Classes run every week (live in Ealing and/or on Zoom). Several of our students are in their Seventies or Eighties... so don't shy away if your hair has turned silver.

Private lessonsIn person or per Zoom at a time that suits you. You can either work on the full Curriculum in regular sessions, or take a few custom-designed sessions to support your development or a life transition.
More info My private lessons per Zoom are a real 'pick-me-up', as I often attend after a hard day at work. After each lesson, I feel relaxed, stronger in my body, more peaceful and more optimistic about my problem-solving ability. I really need this now - Mike |
Nordic Walking is great for your mental and physical wellbeing and fitness. It uses 90% of your muscles and it is gentle on your joints. Being outdoors all year round, rain or shine; this makes us feel happy and alive!

Our guided group walks are targeted at different ability and fitness levels: Gentle, Active, and Dynamic. They provide a good workout, and allow you improve your technique and spend quality time with others. You must take our Foundation course before joining the walks.

Wildflower Walks and moreCustom-designed walks for individuals, groups and families, where you can learn about the folklore and ancient uses of our common wildflowers, herbs and trees.
We also offer guided meditations in nature, and advice on medicine gardens and garden sanctuaries. More info |
Ethno-Botany: Plant WorkshopsOur workshops cover specific plants and their significance in human history; the folklore around them, and the modern and ancient use for practical, spiritual and healing purposes.
You will also learn how to meditate with a plant, connect directly to its essence, and sit with the plant to hear its stories. This may sound a bit strange, but this is how traditional herbalists and medicine women gained their knowledge about the healing gifts of a plant. More info: Mugwort workshop |

Drum Journeys 'Journeying' with the drum is a method of active meditation, where you access your essence - your True Self - by listening to the regular beat of the drum; this helps switch off your busy 'left brain' and work more with your intuition. This has been practiced by Native Americans and other first nation cultures for thousands of years. Some of their methods have been made available for contemporary use to access inner guidance, strength and self-healing power, whilst connecting to the ‘non-ordinary reality’.
Drum Journeying, even though it has ancient spiritual roots, is not linked to any religion; People of many faiths – or no religion at all - come to our drum journey workshops and Drum journey circle. |
Reiki - Treatments and TrainingReiki is a Japanese self-development, meditation and healing technique which you can use for yourself or with others. It has ancient roots and is related to Tai Chi, Chi Gong and similar energy healing systems. The core goal is to balance and re-vitalise your 'Universal Life energy"; which has many mental and physical health benefits. We offer:
